Us in Business Week
Rob at Business Week just blogged us here. Rob is a great reporter who has always been accurate and fair. Over the years (especially in web 1.0 days), I've always hoped he would print us in the print magazine (which he did from time to time), but this time I told him I'd rather have a blog from him than a print article (if I had to choose) as it would hopefully bring more folks to us online to comment on our product idea and give us feedback.
Anyways - thanks Rob you got it right, except for one part - we might not launch with the name Ojos - we have some other alternatives... In fact I'd love your feedback on what name we should call our image search company? Any name ideas?
One more note
I think Flickr's tag based system is just super (in fact I love it), but I wanted all of my photos on there, I wanted them all tagged, and I didn't want to spend hundreds of hours doing it. So being the lazy engineers that we are, we thought maybe we can at least auto-tag some of the faces and names. Folks can fix mistakes we make but it will still be less than than tagging in the first place and in the end you will have a tagged library of photos. I hope lots of folks come to give us feedback as we want your help to make this a great product.
Here is a photo of Rob I had in my 31,000 photo collection.

Can’t wait to see it and can I be on the beta list? Does your autotag program have that good of pattern recognition that it can differentiate faces?

Jonathan - we'd love to have you. Can you send your email address to
email: beta at ojos-inc.com (convert the at to @ - I just don't want to get spammed)
Also include the number of digital photos you have in your collection - just curious

Hello,
i'm a french designer and blogger, that's explain my poor english ;-).
I just would have some explanations, your product can tag my photos, just analizing those, can't it? For example could you asign tags for all the photos http://lespompoms.blogspot.com/ automatically (urggg) ?
Very interesting, really. If you are agree, i'm ready for a beta-test and a little buzz in french blogosphère....

David our system could help to tag many of your photos on your site (especially the ones of your kids). You son and daughter are just adorable btw. On the photos of the Tour de France it will have a harder time but might get some of the team names, etc. I would work much better if you run it on the original resolution photo. We would love to have you in the beta-tester group.
